Air Arabia 항공사 이용시 주의할 점 (일단 항공권 구매하면 환불 안됨)

두바이에 갔다가 이란을 여행하려고 항공권 가격을 알아 보던 중

Dubai 옆 Sharjah 라는 지역(emirate)에 Sharjah 공항을 기점으로 인근 여러 지역을 운행중인
Air Arabia  라는 항공사 가격이 낮아 보여서 구입 했다가

사정이 있어 취소하게 되었는데

막연히 일반적으로 취소 수수료 일부 제외하고 환불 받을 것으로 생각하고 연락해 보았더니

아래 항공권 관련 규정에서 보듯이 Air Arabia는 환불 정책이 없다면서,  취소 수수료 제외하고 나머지 금액을 본인 계정에 크레딧(대기) 시켜 놓았다가 구입 일로부터 향후  1년 내에 Air Arabia 항공을 이용할 때 사용할 수 있을 뿐이며, 1년 지나면 소멸된다고 함.

Air Arabia 항공은 구매한 항공권 취소시는 한 푼도 못찾고 버리게 되므로 확실한 경우만 이용해야 할 것 같음.

* 본인 계정에 Credit 된 금액은 제3자앞 양도도 안되고, 제3자가 사용하려면 최초 구매자 본인 명의로 일단 항공권을 구매하면서 Credit 을 사용하고 실제 여행하려는 제3자 명의로 여행자 변경을 하면 되는데, 이 때 명의 변경 수수료를 또 지불해야 하기 때문에  실제 이용가능한 금액은 얼마 안됨.

** 인터넷 상에 Air Arabia 의 이러한 문제 때문에 환불 요청 및 민원 성 글이 많은데 회사는
      관련 규정을 들어 여전히 환불은 안 해줌.

Flight Changes, cancellations and Credit

Reservations must be modified or cancelled at least 24 hours before local scheduled flight departure time by calling our Air Arabia Call Centre or by contacting Air Arabia Sales Centers or Appointed Travel Agents in the respective region.

Flight changes are subject to a modification fee plus any difference in fare between the initial booking and the modified booking. A fee of AED 160 (or equivalent) per passenger, per sector will be applicable.

Air Arabia does not have a refund policy once the booking if paid for. Should a passenger cancel a flight at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time, a cancellation fee of AED 150 (or equivalent) will be applicable, or if the cancellation is done within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time, a cancellation fee of AED 200 (or equivalent) will be charged per passenger, per sector. Air Arabia will retain the remaining amount as a credit towards a future flight which can be used for travel within one year from the date of payment by the same passenger only.

Flexibility Rule: Passengers who booked Flexi fare of 100 AED are entitled for One free modification and
One free cancellation up to 4 hours before departure. Difference in fare between the initial booking and the
new booking is payable
