Tricky words-1

1. survive / survive from

  - [mainly transitive] Gillard Survives Australia Leadership Challenge.

  - 4 [intransitive] to continue to exist after a long time:

     A few pages of the original manuscript still survive.

survive from
Several buildings in the town have survived from medieval times.

survive into
an old custom which has survived into the twenty-first century

survive as
The main building was demolished, but the library still survives as a museum.

2. appreciate

 - I would appreciate it if you send me a refund. (Not " I would appreciate  if~)
 - We appreciate that caring for children is an important job.(to understand)
 - I appreciate your concern. (to thank)

3. may / might

 - A bulletproof vest may have saved him. (그가 살아 있다.그를 살린 것은 방탄 조끼 ....)

 -  A bulletproof vest might have saved him. (그가 죽었다. 방탄 조끼를 입었더라면 살아있을 수도 ....)

4. comprise (포함하다/담고있다) / consist of

 - Peter's butterfly collection comprises several rare specimens.
